CMA CGM has acquired four Airbus freighters and created a new Air Cargo division to provide “customers with a complementary range of services covering both shipping and logistics” on lanes into and out of the EU. That adds to Ceva, its freight forwarding operator, which has seen accelerating growth in its seaborne operations with U.S. imports which climbed 35.3% year over year in Q4’20 and were 37.7% higher in January.
